Classes and Rules

Big 8 Xtreme Street – 8 car field - PAYOUT $2,500 to winner ----- $100 Tech Card

- 1/4 Mile Race - Heads Up, Pro Tree, Red Light Loses - Single elimination

 

- Any domestic manufactured factory body car

 

- Minimum ONE Headlights and ONE brake lights must exist and be operational

 

- Body: Any year domestic vehicle is allowed. Lightweight components are permitted. One-piece front ends are NOT permitted. No body parts may be removed during competition.

 

- Chassis: All cars must retain complete stock chassis, firewall, and frame rails. Notching of chassis for clearance is permitted.

 

- Aftermarket "K" members are permitted. Suspension: All cars must utilize stock style front suspension. Aftermarket front control arms, rear control arms, and sub-frame connectors are permitted.

- Stock suspension , no back half cars, no full tubs

 

- Interior: Stock style dashboard and full interior from front seats forward is required (passenger seat may be removed). Aftermarket seats, gauges, and interior are permitted.

 

- Exhaust: Muffler(s) are required unless vehicle is turbocharged. Exhaust may exit anywhere.

 

- Electronics: Two-steps, data loggers, aftermarket ECU's, and engine management systems are permitted.

 

- Driveline: Aftermarket axles, ring and pinions, final drive, spools, and differentials are permitted.

 

- Transmission: Manual or Auto transmissions are permitted. Any style automatic transmission is permitted. Transbrakes are permitted.

 

- Fuel: Can Run Any Fuel Tank / Fuel Cell. Any ethanol based fuel allowed. No alcohol.

 

- Tires: All Drag Radials and Slicks Allowed, no larger than 28"x10.5W” or 325 Radial.

 

- Engine: No restrictions!

 

- Power Adders: No restrictions!

 

 

 

Real Street – 16 car field - PAYOUT $2,000 to winner ----- $75 Tech Card

 

- 1/4 Mile Race - Heads Up, Pro Tree, Red Light Loses - Single elimination

 

- Every vehicle must have a license plate, proof of current registration and valid insurance

 

- All vehicles must have a functional alternator

 

- All vehicles must have a functioning radiator and water pump

 

- Must be able to return from a pass on its own power under normal use. Breaking and being towed back will not DQ if the car is able to be safely repaired.

 

- Body: Any year vehicle is allowed. Lightweight components are limited to hood, all other panels must be OE parts from the factory

 

- Must have working headlights, taillights, turn signals.

 

- Stock suspension , no back half cars, no full tubs

 

- Stock appearing interior, aftermarket front seats ok, must have both front seats installed, rear seat delete allowed.

 

- Must have factory dash cluster installed

 

- Must have stock frame rails

 

- Must have glass windshield, rear glass and windows. No Lexan/Optic allowed

 

- Aftermarket k member, a arms, coil overs, after market brakes allowed Stock firewall

 

- Must have stock OE cooling system, electric water pump in stock location is ok

 

- No wheelie bars, no ladder bars . OE style rear suspension, after market comments allowed as long as they are in the stock location.

 

- Must Run DOT drag radials only, no slicks

 

- Mufflers required, except on turbo cars. No bullhorns or zoomies

- Fuel: - Must utilize stock style gas tank, Gasoline or Ethanol based fuels and race fuels are permitted, the use of Methanol based fuels (M1, M5 etc) are PROHIBITED you may not add extra fuel in between the cruise and round 1 of eliminations. After Round 1 Eliminations you may add fuel. Aftermarker drop in sump fuel tank allowed, must use stock filler neck and tank must be mounted in factory location using factory mounting points.

 

- Engine: No restrictions!

 

- Power Adders: No restrictions!

 

 

 

Heavyweights (Heavy Street Class) - 8 car field - PAYOUT $1,500 to winner ---- $75 Tech Card

 

- 1/4 mile -.400 pro tree

 

- Minimum vehicle weight of 3,900lbs with driver. Open to trucks, SUV’s and cars

 

- Limited to one type of power adder for all V8 non diesel competitors. (Twin Turbos ok)

 

- If running a 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder dual power adder types are permitted.

- AWD vehicles are permitted

- Any drag radial or slick permitted

- Weigh ins will be done during tech and after random rounds of racing. If your vehicle WITH driver is under the min weight you will be disqualified.

- Pairings done by chip draw for first round with ladder after that.

Driver Mod (Stick Shift Class) STICK SHIFT SHOOTOUT - PAYOUT $1,200 to winner ----- $75 Tech Card

 

for H-pattern stick shift transmission

RACING FORMAT The Quick 8 stick shift shootout competitors will be paired off of qualifying NO breakout,

- 1⁄4-mile, .400 Pro Tree, Courtesy Staging encouraged but not required.

- TRANSMISSION All competitors must utilize an H-pattern stick shift transmission. NO Clutchless transmisions allowed.

- Must have working headlights, taillights, turn signals.

- Stock appearing interior, aftermarket front seats ok, must have both front seats installed, rear seat delete allowed

- Must have stock frame rails

- Must have glass windshield, rear glass and windows. No Lexan allowed

Index Classes - Eliminations will be run on the Sportsman Ladder. Lane choice goes to best qualified car in the first round, car closest to (but not below) the index in subsequent rounds. In case of ties the tiebreaker is the car that ran first.

- Single breakout loss. Double breakout closes to index wins

 

ELECTRONICS RULES FOR HEADS-UP INDEX CLASSES

 

- Delay boxes and/or timed throttle stops of any description are prohibited; other than linkage type or inline throttle controls such components may remain on the car but all associated wiring, hoses, etc. must be disconnected (quick disconnects permitted) from the components and all of the wiring, hoses, etc. must be coiled up and secured at least 12-inches from all of the associated components. Non-compliance on any run is an automatic disqualification from the eliminator.

 

- Mechanical type throttle stops permitted; any adjustment during the run is prohibited.

 

- Timers of any type associated with, but not limited to, fuel and/or nitrous delivery, throttle control, suspension, etc. are strictly prohibited. Timer controls on ignition system are permitted.

 

- RPM or timer (but not both) controlled electric or pneumatic automatic shifters permitted.

 

- Line-locs permitted.

 

- Transmission brakes permitted.

 

- Two-steps and three steps permitted; must be utilized for burnout and launch control only; may not be used for down track RPM/speed control in any manner.

 

- Data recorders permitted.

 

- Brake/line loc switches/buttons permitted; may be hand or foot (brake pedal) operated.
